YORKVILLE FUN | Yorkville Independence Day Celebration Happening on July 4th

Get ready for a day filled with patriotic pride and community spirit as community residents celebrate Independence Day in Yorkville on July 4th!

Mark your calendars for fun in Yorkville on July 4th and get ready to experience our grand celebration with small-town charm; perfect for families, friends, and visitors alike!


Yorkville Independence Day Parade

Kick off the festivities with Yorkville's spectacular Independence Day Parade! The parade steps off at 9 am sharp from Yorkville High School. Gather your loved ones and secure a spot along the route to witness the colorful floats and vehicles, local marching bands, and community groups in their festive best. Join the parade by entering a float! Parade line-up begins at 7:30am at Yorkville High School.


Parade Route: Game Farm Rd, Somonauk Street, Church Street, West Main Street, and ending at the water tower.


Family Fun in Town Square

Immediately following the parade, head to Town Square (301 N Bridge St) for an array of FREE family activities that will keep the celebration going strong until noon. Enjoy a fantastic opportunity to mingle with neighbors, make new friends, and create lasting memories.


Fireworks Display

As the day turns into dusk, direct your gaze towards the sky for an awe-inspiring, patriotic fireworks display. Viewable from Countryside Parkway and Route 47, the annual fireworks show is the perfect ending to a day of celebration, reflection, and community pride. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and patriotic spirit and celebrate our independence in true Yorkville fashion.
