ST. CHARLES–Karri Custardo and Heather Corcoran opened Trend + Relic a year ago to provide an experience you’ll remember with many talented merchants housed under one roof who create and curate unique items, both vintage and new, including handcrafted specialties such as jewelry, candles, furniture, and art.
Don’t miss their anniversary celebration on July 16 from 5pm-9pm and July 17 from 10am-5pm Enjoy live music, food trucks, ice cream, cotton candy while perusing special items to adorn your home that have been meticulously mastered by artisans, builders, refinishers and painters. Offerings extend to custom paintings, custom made and/or painted furniture, pet portraits, custom pet beds, handcrafted jewelry, interior designer showrooms, clothing makers, photographers, and so much more.
“While we are a multi-vendor location, we try to stay true to our home décor roots,” Karri says.
“We are passionate about keeping our dealers fresh and different from each other, so the customer gets to experience a shop with a ton of options and minimal repeats. Heather and I are both so excited to be able to bring a shop like ours to Saint Charles and the surrounding towns. We love meeting new customers who have traveled to see us for the first time and we especially love celebrating our vendors as they grow their business within our shop.”
The hardest part of owning Trend + Relic for Karri and Heather is curtailing their personal purchases from the many incredible options at their fingertips. Heather's favorite purchase thus far for her home is an antique workbench from 1910 that is serving as a TV stand; and Karri's is an antique apothecary cabinet from the late 1800's with the original apothecary stickers in some of the drawers.
Old and new come together at the corner of 14th and Indiana Avenue within the old print shop that is enriched with beautiful brick walls and very high ceilings along with an original vault in the hallway! History meets modern at Trend + Relic!
