WHEATON | 2024 Wheaton Holiday Housewalk Supporting Wheaton North "Flight" Show Choir

The Award-Winning High School Show Choir is Hosting the 7th Wheaton Holiday Housewalk

WHEATON–To kick off the holiday season, Wheaton North High School’s award-winning show choir, Flight, is hosting the 7th Wheaton Holiday Housewalk on Sat., Nov. 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Housewalk, which started in 2014, brings the community together for tours through some of North Wheaton’s most beautiful homes. Each home has its own unique style and decor, but teams of local designers, decorators and landscapers give the homes some holiday spirit, sure to give Housewalk guests ample inspiration and cheer as the winter holidays approach. Each home also features live tours from Flight members, who will be on-hand to guide guests each step of the way through the homes.

“While we experienced a brief hiatus on account of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are beyond thrilled to bring the magic of the Housewalk back to our community,” said Flight Director Kassy Krause. “The proceeds from this event, which is organized and executed by our amazing Flight members and their families, benefit this year’s ensemble as they travel the Midwest representing the Wheaton community in an extraordinary way.”

This year’s lineup of homes includes:

●      25W668 Prairie, a luxurious modern Tudor-style home that underwent a large-scale reconstruction to create a home that is both lovable and livable, accented with beautiful furnishings and finishes and plants galore. Highlights include an inviting fireside room, a temperature-controlled wine wall, a golf simulator and so much more.

●      500 W. Union, a Georgian home with a modern black-and-white theme that complements the character of the house. Guests will enjoy seeing a gorgeous monochrome kitchen, two sunrooms, a winding staircase and more, punctuated by a seamless blend of modern and antique pieces.

●      1114 Irving, a Colonial-style home that highlights the work of the homeowner’s chops as a designer (Glow Interior Design). Its latest renovation gave it even more curb appeal with a large front porch, new lighting and brick pavers. Inside, guests will see original artwork by the homeowner’s Italian grandfather, who graduated from the School of the Art Institute in Chicago.

●      715 N. West, a historic 4-square combines traditional details with modern flair. Additions to the original 1911 footprint allow for contemporary living with an open concept kitchen and family room. Charming details include eclectic wallpaper, a brick-paved mudroom, a repurposed antique pocket door and a reclaimed window from a Chicago mansion.

Tickets, which regularly sell out, cost $40 online or $50 at the door while there’s availability. Proceeds benefit the Flight program’s expenses, which include transportation to competitions, set design and construction, costumes, music copyright, performance licensing and much more.

Attendees may visit homes in any order. Please note: No strollers and/or photography are permitted inside the homes. This year, guests may enjoy a rest and refresh break at 302 Wheaton, located at 302 W. Front Street, and Trinity Episcopal, located at 130 N West Street.

“We are beyond grateful for our homeowners, vendors, designers and  local businesses for helping us revive Housewalk, and we can’t wait to wow our Housewalk guests with these truly spectacular homes,” Krause said.
