YOU'VE BEEN GLANCED IN BATAVIA
It was a beautiful morning downtown Batavia on Saturday, June 13 where hundreds of west suburban residents came out to enjoy the soft opening of Downtown Batavia’s Boardwalk Shops, along with the Batavia Farmers’ Market. The Boardwalk Shops are designed to attract small business, create more retail shopping, and bring people into Downtown Batavia to enjoy this unique destination, and the rest of the downtown community. The tiny house-styled shops are located at 114 East Wilson Street across from Bocaditos, Oak & Swine, Wilson Street Tavern and Six + Cypress. The buildings host eight new businesses for the 2020 season. This was Glancer Magazine's first Scene Around Suburbia since March 7, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It felt wonderful to be back out celebrating the community.
