There’s nothing quite like a summer night in Chicago, especially when it involves six girlfriends, good food, unforgettable cocktails, and a little friendly competition. We decided to spend our Friday in the heart of River North, where the city lights and energetic vibe instantly set the tone. Our destination? Chicago’s newest hot spot— Electric Shuffle — a spot that promised an unexpected night of fun, and definitely delivered!

We started our evening under their beautiful outdoor pergola, soaking in the warm breeze as we caught up on life. The atmosphere was pure summer magic — string lights twinkling, the hum of the city in the background, and laughter filling the air. Their cocktails were as creative as they were delicious — each one as Instagram-worthy as the next. I went for a cranberry pineapple vodka concoction that was the perfect mix of fresh and fun, while my friends tried everything from citrusy tequila blends to cucumber creations to espresso martinis.

Once we finished dinner, we headed inside to the retro-inspired interior, where things got even better. The music from the DJ had everyone’s energy high — upbeat dance hits that made it impossible not to move. And then came the main event: electric shuffleboard. We gathered around the sleek shuffleboard tables, perched on bar stools, ready for some friendly rivalry. Our favorite game? Eclipse — fast-paced, full of strategy, and guaranteed to bring out our competitive side.

The unexpected entertainment factor was off the charts — way beyond our usual night out. By the end of the evening, our faces hurt from laughing and we were already planning our next visit.
