IN LOVE ♥ A RELATIONSHIP FILLED WITH HUMOR, MUTUAL RESPECT AND COMMITTMENT TO FAMILY
DOWNERS GROVE–Jill and Tom’s love story began more than 30 years ago when they met during a parking space dispute at an apartment complex while both attended the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.
Their ability to resolve problems and work together to share the space resulted in a wedding in Champaign, a two-week honeymoon in France, triplets in 2001, and ultimately business partners of Island Fin Poké Company in Downers Grove this past July.
Hands down, their dream of owning their own franchise has been the hardest, most stressful, craziest thing they have ever done. This power couple also holds independent careers as Director of Communications at Community High School District 99 in Downers Grove (Jill) and as President of JLB + Partners (Tom). Additionally, they are members the Downers Grove Economic Development Corporation and Chamber630.
