Jennifer Kamp

Naperville/Plainfield

NAPERVILLE/PLAINFIELD–Jennifer Kamp, a creative, passionate, and inspiring soul, has called Plainfield home for the past 10 years, but her roots run deep in nearby Naperville. As a dedicated PICU nurse at Endeavor Health in Naperville for 17 years, Jennifer has poured her heart into caring for children in her community. When she’s not at the hospital, she’s channeling her artistic energy into XoXo Picnic Co., her luxury picnic business that transforms everyday moments into magical gatherings across Chicago’s West Suburbs.

Jennifer’s favorite part of hosting these picture-perfect picnics? It’s the chance to connect—listening to people’s stories and seeing their faces light up as they experience her thoughtfully curated settings. Each picnic is a unique masterpiece, born from Jennifer’s love for creating new themes, designing backdrops, and dreaming up unforgettable details.

Summertime is especially dear to her. It’s when she slows down to savor sunrises, morning cappuccinos, and snuggles with her two boys, Landon (9) and Caiden (8). Together, they fill their days with beach adventures at Siesta Key and Clearwater, backyard bonfires, and friendly soccer matches under the lights. The boys even launched their own venture, Lemonade Bros., raising funds for childhood cancer research while encouraging meaningful connections over a refreshing glass of lemonade.

When Jennifer wants to unwind, she heads to Meson Sabika, where red sangria on the patio feels like the ultimate summer treat. With XoXo Picnic Co., she’s inspiring others to embrace the art of slowing down and celebrating life’s sweetest moments.

What do you love most about what you do?

I love being creative with different themes and designs to curate the most incredible, unforgettable experience for my clients that they will remember forever.

What is your personal favorite picnic to set up?

It’s hard to choose, but I’d say it’s a tie between a sunset picnic by the lake—with its perfect ambiance and breathtaking views reflecting off the water—and our clear bubble tent. The tent doesn’t take away from the natural beauty around you, but instead creates a cozy, intimate space for you and your guests to fully enjoy the moment.

What is your personal favorite themed cocktail or unique garnish or ingredient used?

Pineapple Prosecco punch; with fresh pineapple wedge, premium cocktail cherry & fresh mint!

What is the most unique prop you have used in one of your creations?

I would say real horseshoes for a Derby Picnic Party !

What are some fun summer ideas for people to consider for picnics/parties?

Sip & Paint; Summer soirée; Strawberry Picnic; Amalfi Coast; A Tini Bit older; Garden Brunch

Coastal; Babes & Blooms; Tropical Lime; Sunset of My (20s, 30s, 40s); Ripe @ (age)
