Meet Brittany Sabatino, the Creative Entrepreneur Behind arlo.hendrix

BATAVIA/ST. CHARLES/NORTH AURORA–Brittany is persistent, loyal, and genuine. She has always had a love for fashion prompting her to follow in her mother’s footsteps and fulfill her dream of opening Arlo.Hendrix, a children’s boutique named after her four year old son, Arlo that focuses on garments that are "Clean.Cozy.Cute"; bringing in the best fabrics with dye and chemical free garments that are safe for your little ones.

As a member of the Artisan Collective Committee with Mainstreet Batavia, she also helps volunteer and support new local artisans. As a new resident to Batavia, Brittany is immersing herself in local programs and charities to fundraise through the year, as well as donates all of her unsold garments to local women and children shelters.

“Batavia instantly felt at home.” she says. “My husband and I felt this sense of community and diversity which we craved.”

The Batavia Boardwalk Shops boutique location has allowed her to meet so many customers and hear firsthand feedback in the shop, prompting expanding offerings and furthering the decision to open her first brick and mortar store inside of the Wilson Street Mercantile at 222 East Wilson Street in Batavia.

“I have met so many other business owners in the area and have really found my "boutique besties", the ladies I feel most comfortable sharing my struggles with, but also trusting with new ideas and support, including my new DIY bracelet bar and custom orders.” Brittany shares. “Mainstreet Batavia has been an incredible support to me and cheered me on along the way, along with Jamie Saam from Start Something Studio.”

Loyal to supporting small businesses, Brittany can be found meeting up at local events, The Quarry Pool, and nearby shops and restaurants. -Kristen Kucharski, Photos by Mike Catuara
