COVER STORY | Girls of Summer: Lauretta Quelette of Lisle

THIS MOM OF 4 LOVES HER TIME SPENT AT R URBAN WINE BAR & IS BUSY GROWING HER OWN BUSINESS, TOO LISLE–Primarily a stay-at-home mom to four kids (11, 9, 7, and 3), 37 year old Lauretta appreciated the drinks, food, and atmosphere of rare date nights with her husband at R Urban Wine Bar in Lisle that she decided to work there!

She loves serving and adores her co-workers who support each other both personally and professionally. Lauretta is also completely obsessed with the menu items at R. Urban such as the crispy seasoned Brussels sprouts and pizza pollo with handmade dough.

“Our Aperol spritz is extremely popular this summer,” Lauretta says. “I’m also big on margaritas, and we have a delicious spicy and skinny marg; but, of course, being a wine bar, our summer and rose flights are absolutely perfect for sipping on the patio!”

Friendly, honest, and ambitious, Lauretta has expanded her horizons to also include private bartending with her new mobile bar, The Revel Ride. And when she has free time, she enjoys live music at other local establishments such as Evviva, Piazza, Bubblehouse Brewing Company, or Basecamp.

“I don’t think I will ever leave this industry,” she shares. “Even with the craziness of four kids, I love being able to get out of the house and meet new people! My aunt once told me "The days are long, but the years are short; and it is so true in every aspect, so I try and take it all in and enjoy it all!”
