ST. CHARLES–Emily is self admittedly described as a real person with real struggles.
“I'm well into my 40s now and have felt the shift of battling weight and fatigue,” she says. “My 2023 goal is to implement small, manageable changes to improve my health. “I'm starting with a food pantry overhaul using local nutritionist DeeDee Mehren's holistic pantry guide.”
She’s is funny, nerdy and often tardy, but truly believes that it's not about being the best, it's about doing your best. Laughter, organization and lots of hugs help her get through her days and keeping a weekly menu posted using her Ninja countertop oven + air fryer keeps her accountable and efficient.
As the owner of Sage Healing Collective she ensures to take advantage of her own services such as natural nail care, massages, yoga, meditation, and the HaloIR Sauna; and re-energizes her mind by making friends and collaborating with local makers to customize products like Sage + Citrus candles by Illuminate Space, Sage Apothecary Oils + Teas from Escentials Aroma, Soaps + Salves from Crybaby Wellness, and Organic Hair Care from Ren Jord.
Emily creates further balance combining socializing with philanthropy as a member of the St. Charles Women's Club and Geneva Women's Club. When she needs a total break, she heads to Cafe & Barr for a satisfying coffee drink and great conversation.
