Get Ready for Fun with these Unique Events in Beautiful Elmhurst
Gearing up for the summer season, the Elmhurst History Museum has released their summer programs & events. From a Vintage Baseball Game to Museum Maker Mondays, there isa unique experience for everyone. A full list of programs is below. Guests are encouraged to register for events online.

Special Event
Music of the 1940s with The Irving Sisters
Sunday, July 14
Time: 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Location: American Legion T.H.B. Post 187; 310 W. Butterfield Rd. Elmhurst
Cost: $12/person
The music of the 1940s was the soundtrack to both the battle and home front during World War II. Join us for an energetic and captivating concert featuring The Irving Sisters, classically trained singers with a serious love of three-part harmony as well as their three-piece band. Together, they evoke the sister trios of bygone days. Operation Support Our Troops – America, one of the largest volunteer-based military support organizations in the country, will also be onsite collecting much-needed items to send to our troops overseas. GreenMan Theatre Presents Stories from the Home Front

Journey back in time with this poignant Readers Theatre performance by Elmhurst’s own GreenMan Theatre Troupe, delving into the untold stories of those who supported the war effort from home during World War II. Presented in partnership with the Elmhurst Public Library.

Little Orphan Annie: Politics in the Funny Pages

Amidst the backdrop of World War II, comic strip creator and Lombardian Harold Gray utilized his “Little Orphan Annie” comic strips to depict Annie's unwavering support for the home front. Annie was one of America’s darlings, gracing the comics and airwaves, and reminding us all to ‘drink our Ovaltine.’ Join us in commemorating a century of "Little Orphan Annie" and exploring how this timeless creation played a role in shaping the cultural landscape during wartime. Presented by the Lombard Historical Museum.
