POLICE INVESTIGATE FATAL CRASH WITH BICYCLIST, ASKING FOR HELP FROM THE COMMUNITY
AURORA-On November 13, 2023 at approximately 4pm, officers responded to Montgomery Road and Ogden Avenue for a vehicle vs. bicyclist crash. The preliminary investigation showed the driver of a 2008 Ford F-450 was traveling westbound Ogden Avenue and entered the right turn lane to travel north on Montgomery Road. During the turn, the Ford collided with a 16-year-old male bicyclist who was crossing Montgomery Road.
The 16-year-old was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced deceased a short time later. The driver of the Ford did not sustain any injuries.
Members of the Aurora Emergency Management Agency assisted with road closures while the Aurora Police Department’s Traffic Division responded to the scene to conduct an investigation into the crash.
