MODERN WOMEN | Meet Jen Konen of Sugar Grove

MOM, REAL ESTATE BROKER, HOA PRESIDENT, SOFTBALL COACH & MORE SUGAR GROVE–Jen is a Residential Broker with Anton Agency, serves as President of the Hannaford Farm HOA, is the head coach of a softball team and an assistant coach on another.
She helps her church by making food for funeral luncheons, served as a Girl Scout leader, helps the PTO with special events, and is running for the position of Village Trustee in Sugar Grove as a write-in candidate after the recent proposal for rezoning in Sugar Grove. Jen believes the Village is ready for the right kind of development and is committed to work hard to ensure it does so in a controlled way.
As a wife and mother of three children, Lilly (11), Sydney (9), and Henry (7), she is demonstrating through actions her motto, “If you don’t believe in yourself, you can’t expect others to believe in you”. Jen believes she can create positive change in her community if she commits herself accordingly, and is inspired by her kids to continue her pursuit, but like everyone, she also sometimes fails.
“It is so important to also learn from our mistakes and try again,” Jen says.
