MODERN WOMEN | Meet Carrie Guerra of Sugar Grove

SUGAR GROVE–Sometimes it’s the words of others that make us realize the affect our actions have on those around us.

“My mom is an amazing role model for my family and friends,” Carrie Guerra’s 18 year-old daughter, Logan shares. “She not only runs a busy family business, but she maintains our home, our schedules, continues to volunteer in numerous activities, and has finally after all these years taken time for herself to get fit and healthy by losing over 80 pounds!”

Logan goes on to confide that her weight loss journey has been a long time coming due to various health issues, but that she set a goal for herself and continues to break barriers; thus, inspiring and encouraging the rest of the family to eat healthy and get fit, simply leading by example.

“She never takes a day off from the business, It’s Raining Cats and Dogs, a luxury pet Services Company in Sugar Grove, unless it’s to attend an athletic meet for my sister, Lexie (20),” Logan says. “I’m proud to call her my mom, my friend, and my inspiration.”

Never under estimate the power of your kindness, determination, and hard work ethic.
