CANDIDATE FORUM IN SUGAR GROVE SET FOR MARCH 21, 7PM

Voting rights has been a hot topic these days. But along with voting rights comes the responsibility to vote. Many people choose not to vote because they do not know enough about those individuals running for office. The League of Women Voters of Central Kane County is holding candidate forums to provide an avenue to learn about our community candidates and help residents make an informed decision.

This year they will be holding a candidate forum in Sugar Grove on Thursday, March 21, at 7 p.m. at the Sugar Grove Township Community Building at 141 Main Street. Residents will have the opportunity to hear from candidates for three contested races: Sugar Grove Fire Protection District, Waubonsee Community College Board, and the Village of Sugar Grove Board.

Even though Waubonsee Community College (WCC) main campus is located in Sugar Grove, residents from Plano and Aurora have WCC campuses as well and are welcome to attend.

For all community forums, go to: https://mylwv.org/illinois/central-kane-county. Voters will have the opportunity to ask questions of candidates in a moderated format so please bring questions with you and be prepared to vote in this year’s April 2 election.
