TRICITY FAMILY SERVICES FALL FASHION SHOW Well, here we go. Summer has ended, and kids are back to school. Cooler weather should be upon us soon and with that, comes my absolute favorite time to shop for new clothes. Don’t get me wrong, I love summer and my shorts and flip flops, but there’s nothing like the fall fashions with all the new jeans, tops, sweaters, dresses and boots. Oh, how I adore boots! One of the best ways to get a feel of the new trends is to find yourself a local fashion show. Back by popular demand, TriCity Family Services is once again holding their Fall Fashion Show Fundraiser in St. Charles in September, and it looks to be an inspiring evening with proceeds benefiting the agency and their mission.
TriCity Family Services is recognized as a local leader in mental health and prides itself with providing compassionate and confidential family-based counseling services for all ages and income levels. “We are dedicated to strengthening people through affordable counseling, youth crisis intervention and prevention with services that promote sound mental health,” says Michelle Rollins, Communications Manager for the agency. Last year, TriCity Family Services delivered 52,465 hours of service to 4,015 clients, and also celebrated the 50th anniversary since its humble founding.
The fashion show is chaired by the agency’s dedicated group of volunteers, who recently branded themselves as Helpers with Heart. The group is 60+ members strong and is dedicated to all facets of supporting TriCity Family Services through their volunteer efforts. This year’s event will be held at Club Arcada Speakeasy on Tuesday, September 25th from 6-8pm and is open to all ages. A $35 ticket to the fundraiser includes Italian dinner, complimentary swag bags, raffles, cash bar, and a spectacular fashion show featuring the latest fall trends provided by Jeans & A Cute Top Shop of St. Charles and proudly modeled by women and teens affiliated with TriCity Family Services. The theme of the show, Celebrating your Beauty, Inside and Out, empowers females to connect with both in reaching their own definition of beauty.
