FUN RUN IN COLOR 5K RACE ON APRIL 14
WHEATON, IL – The Rotary Club of Wheaton/Wheaton Park District Fun Run in Color 5K Race will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018, beginning at 9 a.m.
The following streets will be temporarily closed from approximately 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.:
North Main Street from Seminary Avenue to Harrison Avenue (temporary detour signs will be posted for southbound Main Street traffic);
West Street from Northside Park to Seminary Avenue;
Prairie Avenue from Wheaton Avenue to West Street;
Madison Avenue from Cross Street to West Street;
Lincoln Avenue from Wheaton Avenue to West Street;
Jefferson Avenue from Wheaton Avenue to West Street;
Union Avenue from West Street to Main Street;
Wheaton Avenue from Prairie Avenue to Wesley Street; and
Karlskoga Avenue from Hale Street to Wheaton Avenue.
Additionally, Karlskoga Avenue between Wheaton Avenue and Hale Street will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday, April 13, to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 14, for pre- and post-race event activities.
During this time period, these streets will be staffed with uniformed police officers to assist and direct traffic. The City asks for your cooperation in not moving the barricades to ensure the safety of the runners.You may experience temporary traffic delays and choose to alter your travel route to avoid these areas.
