Calvin Reed GOLDFISH ARE LEMONY COMIC BOOK Calvin Reed from St. Charles has been illustrating digital comics on his daily comic strip blog for the past three years. With selected comics from his 2015 and 2016 blogs, he has been able to publish a Daily Comic Book titled, Goldfish are Lemony. This is his first comic book, and he has all intentions to create a second. The great thing for Calvin is, if he would like to create several comic books, time is on his side. Calvin is only 9-years old!

Goldfish are Lemony is a collection of Calvin and his father’s favorite comics depicting the hilarious view of the world from the perspective of two cats, their owners and an extended family of characters. The book contains 130 comic strips, included the full original version from his Home Alonely series from early 2016.

“I was inspired by other comic creators, such as Bill Watterson of Calvin and Hobbes,” says Calvin.

“I come up with my ideas and draw while I’m at home in my room.” Calvin doesn’t currently own a cat, but Garfield was one of his favorite comic characters. It is also one of his favorite animals, so he wanted to create Leo the cat as his main character.

Calvin lives with his parents, David and Rheanna Reed who have lived in St. Charles for eleven years. He also spends free time playing piano and viola and traveling with his family.
