TASTE OF GLEN ELLYN‘S NEW FAMILY ACTIVITIES:

COMMUNITY STAGE AND FLOWER POT PAINTING PARTY

Sponsored by the Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce, the Taste of Glen Ellyn is held May 18 - 21. Celebrating a major milestone with its 40th Anniversary, this popular four-day event features live music, food from local restaurants, beverages and a variety of other activities for the whole family.

New this year, the Taste will host a second entertainment stage focused on showcasing the talents of local community groups. The Community Stage will be located on Main Street, just north of Hillside. Over twenty different community groups will display their talents through performances and demonstrations spanning Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the event. The stage will feature local dance, theater, karate, music and sports groups. Additionally, local businesses will offer tips and demonstrations such as dog tricks, bike tricks and bike safety tips, among others.

Added to the entertainment this year, join Bottle & Bottega as they partner with the Chamber of Commerce to host a Flower Pot Painting Party. Located near the Community stage, on Saturday and Sunday noon to 6PM, come and paint your mark on the flower pots which will be displayed around downtown Glen Ellyn this summer, filled with beautiful flowers. As every year the Chamber honors a local business with the flower pots, this year we celebrate GREEN BRANCH, a family owned florist located at 485 Main Street that has been a Glen Ellyn business since 1974.
