Ann Wallin, Chief Financial Officer, Related Midwest

NAPERVILLE – DuPage Children’s Museum (DCM) is a nonprofit organization that has been a force for early learning for nearly thirty years. The Museum launches young children into a lifetime of successful learning through unique interactive experiences. Instrumental to the success of DCM is its talented and committed Board of Directors. Without its strong and capable leadership, the Museum would not have such a long history as a credible force for early learning.

DCM has elected Ann Wallin to its Board of Directors. Wallin is a chief financial officer at Chicago-based real estate developer Related Midwest. Wallin has an extensive professional background in finance, having also held executive positions with Equity LifeStyle Properties, Hub Group, and Nanosphere. Outside of her professional responsibilities, Wallin regularly volunteers her time and talents to various organizations in the Chicago area. In addition to supporting DCM, Wallin serves on the Development Board and Auction Committee at Saint Peter and Paul and was treasurer and auction chair, for Hobson Cooperative Nursery School.

“We have three children, all of whom have grown up as members of DCM,” said Wallin. “For many years, our family regularly visited the Museum and participated in its camps and activities. We’ve even hosted a few birthday parties there. As a parent, I know what an incredibly valuable early learning resource this is to our community, and I am committed to ensuring it will be here for future generations.”

Wallin holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and bachelor’s degree in business administration from St. Mary’s College. She lives in Naperville, IL with her husband, Joel, and their three children.

David Carpenter, Chairman of DCM’s Board of Directors; and Sarah Orleans, President & CEO of DCM, are thrilled to welcome Ann Wallin to the Board of Directors of DuPage Children’s Museum. “Ann’s significant professional skills and philanthropic background will be an asset as we deliver on our educational mission on behalf of young children and the important adults in their lives,” said Ms. Orleans.
