DANCING WITH THE STARZ GALA IS HEATING UP | Get Your Tickets Before They Sell Out!
The DuPage Senior Citizens Council’s (DSCC) 5th annual Dancing with the Starz Gala is heating up – our celebrity dancers are rehearsing their dances, sponsors have gotten on board, we have collected a variety of fabulous auction prizes, our Dream Vacation Raffle is beginning, and tickets are now on sale.
The Dancing with the Starz Gala will be held on Saturday, May 7th from 6 pm to 11 pm at Drury Lane Grand Ballroom, Oakbrook Terrace. The event will be an exciting and fun evening with a reception, a fabulous dinner, entertainment, open dancing, spectacular auction items, professional dance performances, and the 2016 DSCC “Dancing with the Starz" competition. Each of our celebrity contestants will team up with a Fred Astaire Professional to entertain us with their dance moves as they go for the prize! Some of our celebrity contestants include Senator Tom Cullerton, State of Illinois, 23rd District; Patty Gustin, Naperville City Councilwoman; Rosina LaPietra, Small Business Owner; Michael Gragnani, Turano Baking Company; TC Leonard, Grant Staff Inc., Paul Audia, Audia Motion & Still Photography and Dr. Mary Ann Hollis, Partner - Grove Dental Associates. Major sponsors of the event include Turano Baking Company, Golub & Company, and Grove Dental Associates.
There is something for everyone at this event. Since the Gala is the day before Mother’s Day, take your mother out for a night to remember! If you love entertainment, our celebrity dancers and the professional performances are sure to please. For people who love to travel, there are a variety of trips available in our Dream Vacation Raffle, including a tour of Nashville, a cultural food and walking tour of Miami’s South Beach, and a Seattle Sights and Bites tour – or pick the $1,000 cash prize and plan your own dream vacation! For those who love to bid and love to win, there will be a silent auction! If you are interested in learning to dance, the dance floor will be open and the Fred Astaire Professionals can help you learn to waltz, samba, or tango.
And best of all, you are helping homebound seniors in need while you are having a great night out. As you may know, the State of Illinois' budget impasse problems have left many programs without adequate funding, including Meals on Wheels and other services for seniors.

The DuPage Senior Citizens Council (DSCC) is a not-for-profit 501(c) (3), volunteer-driven organization, dedicated to helping seniors live with safety and dignity. Since 1975, DSCC has provided a variety of services for seniors, including Home-Delivered Meals (Meals on Wheels), Community Dining, Home Maintenance and Chore Days, Health and Wellness Education, and Well-Being Checks.
