READY! AIM! ARCHERY TAG.....

Bulletproof – Weatherproof Fun Since we honor Father’s Day in June, it got me thinking about fun activities that can entertain my husband, as much as amuse my kids; and we hit the jackpot with Archery Tag® in Elmhurst. I invited teams of dads and their kids to test out this new, action-packed game one afternoon. We found the competitive “Hunger Games atmosphere” to be both challenging and enjoyable for anyone of any age (although it is recommended for kids 10 years and older). In fact, it’s hard to say who had more fun – the adults or the kids! I love that this game can be played indoors, outdoors, at your home, your office, or just about anywhere – making this activity weatherproof! We played at the indoor arena at Chicago Archery in Elmhurst. Archery Tag® is played similar to dodgeball using the provided bows and patented foam-tipped arrows. Two teams. consisting of five players each, play opposite one another and are separated by a neutral zone. Each team also has a “5-Spot Knockout Target.” There are two overall objectives: tag your opponents and knock out the five discs of the opposing team’s target. The game is extremely active, and got competitive very fast as the teams strategized sending members to retrieve arrows while others reloaded and dodged incoming shots. Our teams played various versions of Archery Tag®, such as total elimination, capture the flag, and everyone’s favorite – every man for himself! And unlike sports like paintball, the Nerf-like arrowhead does not hurt, which further added to the fun factor of the game. The staff was friendly, helpful, and engaging and provided the necessary instruction so that even the most inexperienced person could play the game confidently. The teams all agreed – we will be back! Overview..... Archery Tag® is played similar to dodgeball using the provided bows and patented foam-tipped arrows. This exciting, action-packed game offers the ultimate family-friendly experience that engages everyone and can be played on an indoor or outdoor arena. Chicago Archery also offers a 25-yard indoor archery range for traditional target practice.
