MOM'S LITTLE BLACK BOOK Intra Sports Complex

Updated: Nov 27, 2019

Paintless Paintball

Goggles….check, protective vest…check, semi-automatic Reball gun….check. As I stood behind the inflatable barricade my adrenaline was racing so fast I thought my heart might jump out of my chest. When the referee yelled “game on,” I peered around the corner and started shooting. I looked around for my daughters and their friends and acquainted myself with everyone’s positioning. I decided to make a run for it. I was shot less than one minute into the game. Meanwhile, the rest of the nine participants actively engaged in an action-packed paintless paintball session while I took photos! The kids loved doing the army crawl on the ground behind the low inflatable barricades and maneuvering their positions between the 47-piece Reball field. The recommended age is 12 and up due to the impact of the compressed air-filled Reballs, but we brought two 10-year-olds who seemed to handle the pressure better than me. The added bonus of Reball is that you can have all the fun of paintball but without the mess, because you are using compressed air-filled balls versus paint-filled balls. I loved not having to pack plastic bags and towels to cover my seats for the car ride home! Our two-hour session was filled with laughs, competitive jabs, and a whole lot of memories for all the girls and the boys, as well as the one mom and dad of our group. Reball Elgin just opened this past May and is the perfect place to burn off pent-up energy throughout the colder months! - Kristen Kucharski
