April 2014 - GAMING GIGGLES

I’ll be the first to admit that my family is not really into video gaming. We own an Xbox and Wii system, but they seem to do a better job collecting dust than providing entertainment so I wasn’t quite sure of what to expect at GAME PAZZO in Downers Grove.

We went for Family Game Night offered every Sunday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. – I had nothing to lose, it was $25 for a pizza, a pitcher of soda, and unlimited gaming for 2 adults and 3 children. My girls were immediately awed by the reclining gaming chairs and enough seating for all their BFFs around one giant television screen. There were gaming stations everywhere we looked but my eye was immediately drawn to the stage.

Not being one to sit still very long, I immediately bribed one of my girls to join me on stage for a Just Dance throw down, where I am not beneath scoring more points in a One Direction dance off than my daughters. While most onlookers were extremely content preparing for upcoming GAME PAZZO tournaments of Halo, Call of Duty, Madden, NBA2k13, and Starcraft, I was working overtime dancing, laughing, and burning calories all at the same time! Funny how the same game we have at home was so much more fun on a stage with lights! All ages can be equally entertained while playing the more traditional games, shooting pool, playing darts, or watching sports on HD televisions.
